Getting to Les Cornettes
In the Chablais Alps, in the heart of the Abondance Valley, Les Cornettes Hotel, Spa and Restaurant is in the centre of the village of La Chapelle d’Abondance, one of the gateways to the ski area of Les Portes du Soleil and Valais in Switzerland.
In France, take the A40 motorway, take the exit for Annemasse and follow signs for Thonon and then Châtel.
In Switzerland, once on the motorway, take the exit for Monthey, follow signs for Le Pas de Morgins and then for La Chapelle d’Abondance

From spring to autumn: activities for everyone
On sunny spring and summer days, it’s a real treat to explore the Abondance Valley and the Alps!
Set off with your family on some of the nearby hiking trails: they offer the perfect opportunity to take a closer look at local fauna (marmots, chamois, deer, jackdaws, eagles and more) and flora (Koch’s gentians, pasqueflowers, primroses, Solomon’s seals and, if you’re really lucky, martagon lilies and snake’s head fritillaries) which brighten up the mountain’s pastures and the undergrowth.
Get off the beaten track and enjoy a horseback ride for an hour, 2 hours or even a whole day! Exploring the mountains on horseback is the ideal way to marvel at these breathtaking landscapes.
For fans of running at high altitude, the peaks of the Chablais Alps are home to around fifty marked trails. Trail running is a great way to exercise in the great outdoors while exploring the local region.
What’s more, you’ll be in the heart of the largest mountain biking area in Europe, made up of some 12 resorts in 3 different valleys, home to pine forests, steep trails and mountain herds.

The closest ski lifts are just 200 metres from the hotel; underneath the hotel’s reception, you’ll find a ski room with private lockers which provide secure storage for your equipment.
